Love Krove, Krakow

Love Krove illustration, Krakow

I was walking around the Kazimierz the other day and this really great logo jumped out at me. As I was late to meet friends I snapped a quick photo as a reminder and was on my way. Upon further research, it turns out Love Krove (a play on words for the Polish word for cow) not only has amazing design but it also serves gourmet burgers! WHAT?! Needless to say, I definitely went back. Generally I think good design is a pretty good indication of a quality place, as if the owners care enough to put time and energy into working with the right people for branding they likely care about other aspects of the business just as much. Love Krove did not disappoint. The triple cheese burger was delicious, the space was laid back and the graphic design blew me away. I inquired and found out that the illustration for the interiors, logo, signage and menus was done by a Krakow illustrator who goes by the name Why Duck. The rest of his work is also pretty great, definitely check him out.

Unfortunately it's my last night in Krakow as I would have loved to follow up more on Why Duck. So, if you like design and find yourself in Krakow, track him down for me! And, if you like burgers, go to Love Krove and eat. A lot.
